When generating Powers of Attorney, there may be certain clauses you want to include, remove or customize to closer match your own precedents. For the POA Property and POA Personal Care documents, you can customize the precedent and choose the content you want to include or remove. You can also choose whether you want the default version or your own custom content to be used.
These defaults can be set once on the document tab however can always be changed on the client level when you are generating POA documents for a particular client file.
How do I set the Default Contents for each document?
- Navigate to the “Documents” tab.
- Click on the POA Property or POA Personal Care and scroll down to the "Contents" section.
- Click "Contents Options" .
- Click the three dots on the right side of the provision you want to edit and select "edit".
- Type in a section title or leave the title line blank if you don't want a title to appear.
- Click on the "Content" line and select "Default", or "Custom".
- If you select "Custom", paste your own clause into the box.
- Click "Done" and then “Save” in the bottom corner to save the default contents settings for that document type.
How do I exclude a Contents Option?
- Navigate to the “Documents” tab.
- Click on the POA Property or POA Personal Care and scroll down to the "Contents" section.
- Click "Contents Options" .
- Click the three dots on the right side of the content you want to remove and select "exclude".
Note: If you want to re-add any content options that have been excluded, click the "+Add Content" button and check the boxes of the content you want to add and click "Done" in the bottom right.
