You may have certain preferred administrative provisions you would like to populate in every will. For the Single Will, Short Will and Multiple Will documents, you can customize the precedent and choose which administrative provisions you want to include. You can also choose whether you want the default version, simplified version or your own custom version of the provision to be used.
These can be set once at the default level and can be changed for any particular client when you generate the Will for a the client as well.
How do I set the default administrative provisions for each document?
- Navigate to the “Documents” tab.
- Click on the Single Will, Short Will or Multiple Will Documents and scroll down to the "Administrative Provisions" section.
- Click "Customize provisions" .
- Click the three dots on the right side of the provision you want to edit and select "edit".
- Type in a section title or leave the title line blank if you don't want any title to appear.
- Click on the "Content" line and select "Default", "Simplified", or "Custom".
- If you select "Custom", paste your own clause into the box.
- Click "Done" and then “Save” in the bottom corner to save the default administrative provision settings for that document type.
How do I exclude an administrative provision?
- Navigate to the “Documents” tab.
- Click on the Single Will, Short Will or Multiple Will Documents and scroll down to the "Administrative Provisions" section.
- Click "Customize provisions".
- Click the three dots on the right side of the provision you want to remove and select "exclude".
Note: If you want to re-add any provisions that have been excluded, click the "+Add Content" button and check the boxes of the provisions you want to add and click "Done" in the bottom right.
The separate provisions are grouped within a larger group. For example, the investment clause is under the "Manage Estate Funds" Group. Here are some examples of the major Groups. Click the Tab and it will open up all of the sub-clause that you can include, exclude or customize within that Group.
