What plan does the "Spouse with Younger Children (Two Distributions Trust)" ePlan create?

The "Spouse with Younger Children (Two Distributions Trust)" ePlan automatically plans the "Scenarios", "Appointments", "POA Financial" and "POA Personal Care" sections according to the following criteria:

Scenarios

1. Surviving Spouse
   • Any jointly held or designated assets will go to the spouse in the "Joint/Designated Assets" section.
   • General personal effects will be gifted to the spouse in the "Initial Gifts" section.
   • If added as an asset, loyalty points will be gifted to the spouse in the "Initial Gifts" section.
   • If added as an asset, the RESP will be gifted to the spouse in the "Initial Gifts" section.
   • The "Balance of the Estate" will go to the spouse absolutely, 100%.
2. Descendants Only
   • General personal effects will be gifted to the class of children in the "Initial Gifts" section.
   • If added as an asset, the RESP will be gifted to the children in the "Initial Gifts" section.
   • The "Balance of the Estate" will go to the class of children in trust, 100%, with a duration of 30 and a staged distribution of 50% at age 25, with a giftover to beneficiary's issue and then to other class members.
3. No Descendants 
   • The "Balance of the Estate" will be divided into two segments: Segment 1 for 50% to the class of siblings absolutely, and Segment 2 for 50% to the class of spouse's siblings absolutely, with a giftover to beneficiary's issue and then to other class members.

Appointments

• The spouse will be appointed as the Primary Estate Trustee.

POA Financial

• The spouse will be appointed as the Primary POA Financial.

POA Personal Care

• The spouse will be appointed as the Primary POA Personal Care.
