What are ePlans?
ePlans are estate plans for typical situations that are created with the click of a button. Instead of having to go through the entire planning process step-by-step, you can choose an ePlan and the program automatically does it for you!
Based on the family tree and asset information you (or your client) have entered into the system, the program reviews and uses that information to create a plan. Is there a spouse on the family tree? Are there any jointly owned assets? e-State will take in this information and allocate it to the proper scenario section when creating the plan. All other details will follow what has been set out in the description of the specific ePlan chosen.
For typical estate plans, it is a huge time saver!
Note: We encourage you to go through and review the entire plan (even after running the ePlan) to ensure everything matches your preferences. You can always make changes to any section of the plan, just like if you created it yourself.
How do I run an ePlan?
- Click the lightning bolt icon in the top right corner.
- Choose the ePlan you would like to run.
- Click "Execute" to run the ePlan.
What if none of the available ePlans match the plan I need to create?
ePlans are just a starting point and are currently designed for very simple estate plans. We encourage you to run through the plan even after running the ePlan to ensure everything matches your preferences.
Alternatively, if your plan is dramatically different from any of the ePlans currently available, you can still go through the program manually and create your own plan.
