How do I appoint a primary estate trustee?
- Click the “+Add” button.
- Click “People” or "Trust Company", select your first appointee and click "Done" in the bottom corner.
- Click “Add” in the bottom corner.
Note: You must add a primary estate trustee before adding any alternates.
How do I appoint an alternate estate trustee?
- Click the “+Add” button.
- Click “People” or "Trust Company", select your alternate appointee and click "Done" in the bottom corner.
- Under “Conditions” click “+Add” , select "If specified cannot act" and select the name or names of the individuals you want this appointee to be appointed an alternate to.
- Click "Done" and then “Add” in the bottom corner.
What is the difference between “if all cannot act” and “if any cannot act”?
- If “If all cannot act” is selected, this individual will only be appointed if all of the others named are not able to act.
- If “If any cannot act” is selected, this individual will be appointed if any of the specific individuals named are not able to act.
