How do I indicate if a family member has special circumstances?
- Click the family member's icon and select "Edit".
- Scroll down and click “Special Circumstances” to reveal the section.
- Mark-off any that are applicable by clicking the button on the right. You can also type in a description if you want to include further details.
Note: If a family member is disabled, it is important to click off the button beside "disability" in the special circumstances section. This will inform the system that this individual is disabled and will trigger special advisor insight. Additionally, if you set up a trust for this individual, the system will know to draft a Henson trust in the will.
Why is the client’s special circumstances section different from everyone else on the family tree?
For the client, the special circumstances section is a place where you can note any potential capacity issues they might have. For a family member, the special circumstances section is a place where you can note details pertaining to their relationship to the client (Ex. estrangement, relationship difficulties) as well as whether or not they are disabled (for Henson trust and tax purposes).
