Segments and Gifts

How do I know when to create multiple segments with one gift instead of one segment with multiple gifts?

Use one segment if:

• You are gifting the residue all to one person
• You are gifting the residue to multiple people or a class divided equally on the same terms with the same giftovers

Use multiple segments if: 

• You are gifting the residue to multiple people unequally
• You are gifting the residue to multiple people equally but with different terms for the gift
